In Xenoblade Chronicles 3, each hero is unlocked through certain quests. Valdi is a healer; he is unlocked after you complete The Kind Right-Hand quest in Xenoblade Chronicles 3. How to Unlock: Move south of colony four and explore Ribbis flat. After searching the flat head to Elsie's Spout. On the way up to Elsie's Spout, you will reach a point where you can't climb further. That's the point where Valdi appears, and the quest begins.

The Kind Right Hand Quest Walkthrough
To complete the quest, you need to follow these steps:
- Fight Valdi along with two Keves Soldiers; Velites and Equites both are level 19 soldiers.
- After Defeating them, Valdi seeks help in constructing his Levnises. There are three of them Levnis Endoskeleton, Levnis Self-Charger and Levnis Auxiliary CPU. Follow the yellow markers on the map to collect Levnises.
- Fight a level 21 Equite while collecting Levnis Self-Charger. Other enemies will also be there at two other locations but can avoid them by sneaking.
- After gathering all the parts, a mini-Levnis is created by Valdi.
- Follow Valdi's mini-Levnis, and you will reach colony 30.
- After reaching colony 30, you will fight the Levnis, followed by a cut scene.
- Defeating the Levins will complete the quest.
