Scott Parker was dismissed as Bournemouth manager on Tuesday, meaning he is the sixth manger to lose his job following a defeat to Jurgen Klopp's Liverpool.
The startling statistic came to light after news emerged of Parker's sacking following Bournemouth's 9-0 mauling at the hands of Liverpool on Saturday.
Parker saw his Bournemouth side beaten by Liverpool and Klopp 9-0 to make him the sixth Prem boss to be axed after defeat to Klopp's Reds
Parker joins an unwanted list, including ex-Swansea manager Francisco Guidolin, former West Ham boss Slaven Bilic and former Fulham boss Slavisa Jokanovic to lose their jobs after falling at the hands of Klopp's rampant Reds.
Other scalps also include Jose Mourinho who was dismissed after his Manchester United side were beaten 3-1 at Anfield in December 2018 and former Everton boss Marco Silva who was sent packing after a Merseyside derby defeat in 2019.
Next up for Klopp is the Merseyside derby and it's Frank Lampard in the Goodison Park hotseat this time. The Toffee's are without a league win this season and defeat in Saturday lunchtime's crunch clash could pile further pressure on the 44-year-old with Everton currently languishing in the bottom three.
Bournemouth sit one place above Everton in the table and have taken a huge hit in their last three league fixtures after a promising 2-0 victory over Aston Villa on the opening day.
Since that success over Steven Gerrard's men, the Cherries have suffered three-consecutive defeats against Manchester City [4-0] and Arsenal [3-0] as well as the destruction at Anfield.
The final nail in the coffin for the former Tottenham and Chelsea midfielder appeared to be his criticism of the board and a perceived lack of backing in the transfer market.
Parker's post-match comments after losing to Liverpool where he bemoaned investment are not thought to have helped
Parker claimed his side were 'under-equipped at this level', a statement owner Maxim Demin is not thought to have taken kindly to.
Demin released a statement on Tuesday via the Cherries' Twitter account to announce Parker's exit.
He wrote: "I would like to place on record my gratitude to Scott and his team for their efforts during their time with us.
"Our promotion back to the Premier League last season under his tenure will always be remembered as one of the most successful seasons in our history.
"However, in order for us to keep progressing as a team and a club as a whole, it is unconditional that we are aligned in our strategy to run the club sustainably.
"We must also show belief in and respect for one another. That is the approach that has brought this club so much success in recent history, and one that we will not veer from now. Our search for a new head coach will begin immediately."
Gary O'Neil will take interim charge of the team, and will be assisted by Shaun Cooper and Tommy Elphick.
