Football fans do some stupid things when showing love for their club's star players.
One dad managed to forget he had a son while trying to hug Anthony Gordon after Everton's draw on Tuesday night.
This dad was very keen to hug Gordon, but forgot about his son
Gordon, who has been linked with a move away from the Toffees this summer, scored again in the 1-1 draw at Elland Road.
Despite intense interest from Chelsea, with multiple transfer bids worth around £60m, his behaviour has been exemplary.
He has not refused to play in order to force a move and his performances if anything have only got better.
The Everton fans were showing just how much they love the 21-year-old after the final whistle as he went to applaud their support.
One dad had his son in his arms and went to hug Gordon, only to drop his son onto the pitch.
Instead of immediately grabbing his child, he carried on hugging the starlet, who then checked on the youngster.
Gordon has two Premier League goals this season, and has been key for Everton
Those Toffees fans will be rewarded for their devotion as manager Frank Lampard confirmed the forward will be going nowhere.
Lampard said: "I'm very confident. You've seen the reasons why in the last two games because he's our player. He's a very good player and he's going to get better."
The former Chelsea boss said the deadline he had set on whether to consider any further advances from the Londoners for Gordon had passed.
"Anthony's too important a player," Lampard added. "I think he's shown his worth in the last two games.
"With two days (of the transfer window) to go, what good would it do us to do anything with Anthony?"
