Amanda Nunes regained her UFC bantamweight title with a brutal win over Julianna Pena in Dallas.
After a five-year reign as champion, Brazilian Nunes lost her belt to American Pena in December 2021, but seized it back in thrilling fashion on Saturday.

Nunes won a bloody affair

Pena was covered in blood for much of the fight
Nunes dropped her opponent three times in the second round before taking the battle to the mat for the final three rounds.
Despite a brief fightback from Pena in the fourth round, Nunes was rewarded for her dominance with a unanimous decision from the judges.
Pena was forced to deal with streaks of blood pouring from a cut on her head for much of the fight.
In fact, during the final moments of the fight, strings of blood could be seen between the cage links of the octagon.

Nunes waited seven months to claim revenge
Nunes said: "I know Julianna is tough. I was ready for that. I could have finished her but I wanted to go five rounds to prove that I was better than her.
"I did everything already. Now I have the belt (again) and I'm just going to keep going. This is just something I have to do. Keep going. I did everything I can. I'm very happy."
