West Ham defender Kurt Zouma has been sentenced to 180 hours of community service after pleading guilty to kicking and slapping his cat.
The France international, 27, is also banned from owning cats for five years after admitting two counts of causing unnecessary suffering to a protected animal.

The centre-back was sentenced at the Thames Magistrates' Court on Tuesday

A disturbing video emerged of Zouma abusing his pet cat by kicking it across a kitchen before throwing a pair of shoes at it and slapping its head.
His brother, Yoan Zouma, has been handed 140 hours of community and is also banned from having cats for five years after filming the incident and posting it on Snapchat.
