Romelu Lukaku has completed his return to Inter Milan, with the move officially announced on the social media pages of the Nerrazzuri. The striker has been re-signed on a straight one year loan deal, until the end of the 2022/23 season.
There is no buy option included in the contract, and he is expected to return to Stamford Bridge next season unless something is arranged between the two clubs. Chelsea have agreed a loan fee worth €8 million for the season plus add-ons, and the player has taken a 30% pay cut to return to San Siro.

It's really emotional," Romelu Lukaku later said on Inter's TV channel.
"Inter have given me a lot and I hope that from now I can do even better than before... I didn't give up my home when I left for England and I think that tells you something."
"The affection of the fans and my team-mates, but also the opportunity to work with the coach. I stayed in contact with him all last season. I think the coach is doing well with the team. I want to contribute and do good for this club."
During his first spell for Inter Milan under Antonio Conte, he was one of their best players and was the vital part for them winning the Scudetto. He is set to wear the number 90 shirt given that Edin Dzeko has the number 9, and has now ended a very disappointing return to Chelsea for the time being.
