The film Rabbit Proof Fence was the strangest movie I had ever seen. I was personally confused on the emotions I had felt towards the children and what the adults had done throughout the film. With the parents of the children who were taken from them, I had thought they would make an attempt to follow their children to get them back but it was actually the other way around which is one of the reasons why I could say I feel weird.
With the adults who took the children and what looks like sisters who took care of the kids I was just wondering how none of them didn't feel like anything they were doing to the children was wrong or why none of them didn't want to step up and say anything. The way I feel towards both sides is very strange because on one side it was like a bounty hunter hunting for his target and on the other side it was innocent children that were being hustled down for. Even with the days of not protesting my big question was why none of them wanted to start a protest or why nobody wanted to step up to what would be the bully.
All in all the movie was an educational one for me being that I didn't know any of this happened in real life. As uncomfortable as it was for me to watch the movie it was a good movie but I wouldn't watch it again on my personal time do to me knowing and having experience with situations like these girls were in. One thing I took out of this movie is where there is a will there is a way and I was reminded of that when the two of them got home at the end.
