The crowd in attendance for the epic clash between Katie Taylor and Amanda Serrano last night made their presence felt.
In fact, those inside Madison Square Garden were so loud that the referee couldn't hear the bell to mark the end of round three.

It was a close fight, but Taylor edged Serrano on two of the three judge's scorecards

Serrano's Puerto Rican fans came out to support her

As did Taylor's legion of Irish supporters

And together they were so loud referee Michael Griffin couldn't hear the bell to signal the end to round three
Taylor defended her undisputed lightweight world titles via a split decision victory over Amanda Serrano in what is being described as an instant classic and a fight of the year contender.
It seems the only thing that could match the incredible in-ring action on the night was the unbelievable atmosphere inside the iconic New York City venue.
Last weekend we saw 94,000 fans descend on Wembley Stadium for Tyson Fury vs Dillian Whyte, but it seems the 19,000 strong crowd in The Big Apple outdid them for decibels.
As the the third round came to a close, chants of 'ole, ole, ole, ole' could be heard ringing out.
Footage shows the bell go to mark the end of the round and the referee doesn't react to split the fighters and direct them back to their corners.
"The referee can't hear the bell," the DAZN commentary team screamed. "The referee cannot even hear the bell and he's ten feet away, that should tell you what we've got here!"
We have seen the terrific support Irish fans show to their fighters time and again with Conor McGregor in the UFC, but it seems there is a new hero in town, as they have outdone themselves with their support of Taylor last night.

Taylor maintained her unbeaten record, as she retained her undisputed lightweight crown

Taylor's fans were delighted to see her come out on top
The party-like atmosphere was not contained inside Madison Square Garden either, as celebrations spilled onto the streets after the fight.
Footage emerged of swathes of Irish fans singing on the streets after the fight.
"There's only one Katie Taylor," They sang, followed by, "walking in a Taylor wonderland."
As the number one pound-for-pound female fighter, unbeaten, Olympic gold medallist and undisputed lightweight world champion, those Irish fans are right.
There truly is only one Katie Taylor.
