Liverpool forward Mohamed Salah and Chelsea striker Sam Kerr have received the Football Writers' Player of the Year award for 2021/22.
Both players are streets ahead of the rest at the top of the Premier League and Women's Super League goalscoring charts.
The Egyptian has scored some mesmeric goals this term
The Aussie was the star for Chelsea once again on Thursday against Tottenham
Salah has 22 goals and 13 assists in the top-flight, leading Liverpool's title challenge, with the Reds one point behind Manchester City and still able to claim a historic quadruple this season.
Meanwhile, Kerr has been similarly dominant in the women's game, with 18 goals and seven assists as the Blues edge closer to defending their WSL title.
The Australian netted a crucial winner in the 2-1 victory over Tottenham on Thursday night, restoring their four point lead over Arsenal, who have a game in hand.
Like in 2018, Salah was once again forced to edge out Man City midfielder Kevin De Bruyne, with the Egypt star claiming his second Football Writers' Award.
De Bruyne has been snubbed for the prestigious award once again
Kerr's closest rival was Arsenal striker Vivienne Miedema, who won the award in 2020 and has 12 goals for the Gunners in the WSL this season.
Heads will soon turn to the Ballon d'Or, with English football's brightest stars looking for recognition on the world stage.
Reds forward Salah looks set for fierce competition from Real Madrid striker Karim Benzema when the vote takes place later this year.
