Liverpool legend John Barnes believes that the Reds should not sell 'important' Roberto Firmino, who still has an important part to play - especially between now and the end of the season.
The Brazilian has been out injured recently, with many believing that he is now the fifth-choice forward at Anfield.
Firmino hasn't featured as regularly this season as he used to do for Liverpool
The 30-year-old has scored 11 goals in 31 games this season, consistently contributing when he's been given a chance by Jurgen Klopp.
And he has scored some important goals for his boss over the years, having signed from Hoffenheim in 2015.
However, the likes of Sadio Mane, Mo Salah, Diogo Jota, and new man Luis Diaz have tended to be selected ahead of him in the big games this season.
The Reds potentially have eight huge games to play, including an FA Cup final, some key clashes in the Premier League, as well as a possible Champions League final.
And Barnes, who scored 106 in 403 games for Liverpool himself, believes Firmino still has a vital part to play in the Reds' crucial run-in.
"Despite the way Luis Diaz is playing, Roberto Firmino hasn't slipped down the pecking order at all," Barnes told Bonus Code Bets.
Diaz has played in a lot of big games since he joined the club in January
"If Firmino is 100% fit, he's likely to play in the biggest games ahead of Diaz, but he's just been injured recently.
"He's very important to Liverpool, he is one of my favourite players and he's certainly one of Jurgen Klopp's."
He added: "If Liverpool cashed in on him this summer and others got injured, then what would they do? He's a valuable member of the team and squad.
"At his age, they aren't going to get £80million for him – so they shouldn't sell him."
