Once you have dealt with the Godskin Duo in Crumbling Farum Azula, you will encounter Beast Clergyman and Maliketh, The Black Blade. This encounter is going to be pretty difficult but there is an easy way to defeat the boss. In this Elden Ring guide, we are going to go over how you can cheese Beast Clergyman and Maliketh in Elden Ring.

Cheesing Beast Clergyman And Maliketh In Elden Ring

For this encounter, you are going to need a spirit summon with a lot of health. You are also going to need the Ash of War: Carian Retaliation and a shield that you can use it on. You can use the Carian Knight Magic Shield which you can find pretty early in the game. You will also need Glintstone Scarp or the Wraith Calling Bell.

Once the encounter starts, you will want to summon your spirit and then head over to the right or left side of the arena. Do not fall off the sides at the entrance. Hide behind the pillar and use the Glintstone Scrap or the Wraith Calling Bell and use the Carian Retaliation skill. This is going to summon 3 swords over you.

Now get close to the boss and the swords will hit and do massive amounts of damage. You can then hide behind the pillars again and allow the summon to agro the boss. It only takes 2-3 hits of the skill depending on your stats and the level of the shield that you are using. You are limited to carrying 10 Glintstone Scarp at a time, so if you feel like that is not enough then you can use the Wraith Calling Bell, which you can use infinitely.

Maliketh Cheese Elden Ring

Once the boss is down to half health the second phase of the fight is going to start. In this phase Maliketh, The Black Blade is going to be very aggressive and can even one-shot you if you do not have enough health.

We recommend sticking behind the pillars and letting your spirit summon tank the damage while you deal damage with the Carian Retaliation skill. 2-3 additional hits with this skill and the boss should die.
