Dillian Whyte and Anthony Joshua exchanged words on Instagram and showed there was little friendship between the pair.
Understandably, AJ revealed he would be keeping a close eye on what was happening in Whyte's WBC heavyweight title showdown with Tyson Fury.
Joshua's comments about Whyte provoked a reaction
He told iFL TV that he was rooting for the Bodysnatcher, even though he hated him, and hoped he would not underestimate the Gypsy King.
Whyte did not take too kindly to those words and reposted them on social media with some comments of his own.
He wrote: "Why so bitter? Number one bulls*** guy @anthonyjoshua. What did I ever do to you man s*** hahahahahaha good luck in your rematch with @usykaa."
AJ replied: "Hates a strong word, I respect you champ. I just want to fight you at some point."
Joshua and Whyte are now stablemates with Matchroom Boxing, but they came together in a bad-tempered showdown in 2015 when they were both unbeaten prospects.
AJ won on that occasion, but there could yet be a rematch in the near future depending on how results go.
Whyte has been waiting around three years to get his world title shot and will now get it in front of potentially 90,000 people.
The pair will have their first press conference on Tuesday at 2pm. Meanwhile, AJ is preparing for his rematch with Oleksandr Usyk after the Ukrainian won their first fight back in September.
