The multiplayer in Halo Infinite will have another free event next week, with the offered gifts aiming to give the game a cyberpunk feel. The Cyber Showdown tournament begins on January 18th. Some of the new awards, such as a neon-colored holographic mohawk, are shown in a short trailer.

There's no news on how long the event will go or what other prizes will be available, but data miners appear to have found a lot of that information already. The event will last two weeks, according to the sources, and will end on February 1st. A bright pink armor and weapon coating, a stance, a visor color, a weapon charm, and more are all available to players.

The event will function similarly to past Fracture: Tenrai events, with players completing certain event challenges to move through the free event pass. According to data miners, new game modes such as Attrition and King of the Hill will be introduced during the Cyber Showdown.

After the Cyber Showdown event concludes, gamers will only have to wait a short time for the next event to begin. The Fracture: Tenrai event in Halo Infinite will resume on February 1, providing players more chances to unlock samurai-themed cosmetics.

343 has stated that a hotfix for Halo Infinite will be released in the middle of next week to solve ongoing matchmaking issues in Big Team Battle. Players that join in after the patch has been released will receive five XP boosts and challenge swaps from 343 as recompense for troubles with the game mode over the holidays.
