Annual plans have been added to YouTube Premium and YouTube Music Premium, allowing customers to pay for a 12-month non-recurring subscription up front. Years ago, YouTube offered monthly and quarterly premium subscription plans.
Only a few countries, notably India and the United States, have annual plans for YouTube Premium and YouTube Music Premium. YouTube is currently selling annual plans at a discounted rate as an introductory offer. Users can sign up for annual plans on their Android handsets or online.
Individual users can now purchase annual subscriptions to YouTube Premium and YouTube Music Premium. Students and users with family members will be unable to purchase annual plans for their accounts as a result of this.
The Cost of monthly and annual plans:
Customers can get savings on annual YouTube plans until January 23 as part of a promotional offer from YouTube. The annual YouTube Premium plan costs Rs. 1,159 ($107.99 in the US), while YouTube Music Premium costs Rs. 889 ($89.99 in the US).
According to a YouTube spokesperson, the company introduced YouTube Premium to provide customers more options on the platform. Since then, they've been working on developing a subscription service that meets our users' needs.
Annual plans have been established in the United States, Canada, Mexico, Brazil, Russia, Turkey, Germany, Thailand, India, and Japan to give users even more options. As a limited promotion, annual plans are offered for $9 per month until January 23, 2022.
YouTube Premium costs Rs. 129 ($11.99 in the US) per month, while YouTube Music Premium costs Rs. 99 ($9.99 in the US).
The annual plans are presently available in India, Brazil, Canada, Germany, Japan, Russia, Thailand, Turkey, and the United States, according to YouTube's support page.
Users who already have a YouTube Premium or YouTube Music Premium subscription can upgrade to the yearly plans by cancelling their existing membership and joining up again. Additionally, when a one-month or three-month prepaid plan expires in India, subscribers will be switched to yearly plans.
A YouTube Premium annual package is available to users on Android and the web. However, an in-app sign-up option for iOS devices has not yet been made available by YouTube. Users of the iPhone and iPad who want to purchase a yearly subscription must do it via a PC or mobile Web browser in this case.
Importantly, YouTube does not offer partial refunds to annual plan subscribers. The plans' payments are similarly non-recurring and prepaid. When the original yearly plan ends, you'll have to manually renew the membership.
YouTube Premium and YouTube Music Premium, two ad-free subscription models, were launched in India in March of this year. Later in the year, it introduced prepaid programmes with one-time expenses.
