Vitaliy Mykolenko has completed the medical assessment for his transfer to Everton a week ago, according to renowned transfer insider Fabrizio Romano. The deal has never been in doubt and will be announced officially in a few days.

Everton are paying Dynamo Kyiv a fee around £20 million for the left-back, and he is set to earn a wage around £54,000 per week, according to Dynamo Kyiv Inside. The paperwork for the transfer has been completed, and Everton are waiting for the transfer window to open to register him as part of their squad.

Mykolenko will be the first January signing for the Toffees as they hope to achieve a top half finish by the end of the season at the very least.

Vitaliy Mykolenko: A good deal for Everton?

The left-back has come through the Dynamo Kyiv academy and will be making his first international move when he joins Everton. It remains to be seen whether he will be able to adapt to the pace and intensity of the Premier League.

If he does, he will be a very good signing for Everton, who have struggled with their signings in recent years.

Lucas Digne is expected to leave the club in January after struggling to nail down a starting berth this season. There are currently four offers on the table for the left-back, with Inter Milan one of the names interested in signing him.

Vitaliy Mykolenko will have the task of replacing the Frenchman, who is considered one of the best left-backs in the Premier League in recent years.
