Ubisoft has chosen Gävle, Sweden to be the host of the next big Rainbow Six: Siege competition. The Six November Major, the last S-tier tournament of the year on Ubisoft's calendar, will run from November 8th to the 14th and mark the first R6:S major to be held in Sweden. Unfortunately, due to COVID-19, no on-site audience will be allowed in the yet-to-be-announced arena.

"Well-being of pro players, staff, and partners being our main priority, the Six Sweden Major will be a LAN event with no on-site audience following strict sanitary measures," Ubisoft said in a statement.

The event organizers are currently working with Sweden's officials and following guidelines from health organizations to make sure that sanitary protocols are properly set for the tournament.

The format will begin with the group stage, in which sixteen teams from around the world will participate for the first three days of the tournament. The next three days will feature the single-elimination playoffs. A $500,000 prize pool will be up for the taking, with the winner securing $200,000 of that and 200 points in the global standings.
