Inter Milan have extended the contract of Federico Dimarco until June 2026. The left-back has committed his future to the club, with whom he has been since youth. The player has spent a number of loan spells at clubs like Empoli, Parma, Hellas Verona and Ascoli and is now featuring for the first team under Simeone Inzaghi.

The 24-year-old has made 24 appearances across all competitions and has scored 2 goals and assisted just as many. This season, he has cemented himself as the first-choice left-back for the defending champions of Italy.

Inter Milan transfer news

This season, Inter have agreed new deals with Lautaro Martinez and Nicolo Barella, and have now tied Dimarco down to a long-term deal. Instead of focusing on recruiting new players, Inter Milan are solidifying their current team for the coming years.

Inter Milan are also working to extend the contract of Marcelo Brozovic. The midfielder is one of the most important players in the team right now, and will be out of contract in June 2022.

Ivan Perisic is also nearing the end of his contract at the end of the season, and will be able to walk out for free. To prevent this from happening, Inter need to agree new deals with both their key players before the season ends.

Time is running short since both of them will be able to negotiate a transfer with foreign clubs starting from the January transfer window, which is only a few days away.
