LG began rolling out the beta for its new webOS app, which will allow PC games from GeForce Now to be played on your big screen for the 2021 LG 4K OLED, QNED Mini LED, and NanoCell TV models in 80 markets. While the new app will make it easier to use the service on a bigger screen, games will be capped at 60fps and 1080p resolution, meaning you won't be able to play GeForce Now games in 4K via the app. NVIDIA says that it plans to improve upon the current app by releasing updates in partnership with LG through 2022.

"LG customers are expecting the best when it comes to gaming on a large screen," said Lee Sang-woo, Senior Vice President of corporate business strategy at LG Electronics Home Entertainment Company. "Partnering with NVIDIA to bring GeForce NOW to LG TV owners is a sign of our commitment to deliver the best gaming experience on LG TVs running webOS."

Every GeForce Now tier is supported, including the new tier that lets you play games on its dedicated RTX 3080 pods. Every gamepad-supported game works, too, the company says. If you don't own any PC games yourself but still want to give the service a spin, there are more than 35 free-to-play games available on GeForce Now.

LG TV owners can now stream games through the Nvidia GeForce Now app, saving the need for additional equipment other than game controllers.
