Zinedine Zidane has turned down the offer to succeed Ole Gunnar Solskjær and manage Manchester United. He has said that he would rather take charge of PSG, if Mauricio Pochettino is to leave the club.

The Argentinian is in talks with Manchester United about the position, but is yet to achieve a breakthrough in negotiations. Should he leave, and Zidane is appointed, it would possibly be a big blow for Real Madrid and their hopes of landing Kylian Mbappe next summer.

The Frenchman is in his last few months of contract with the Parisians. This summer, Real Madrid tried to sign Mbappe for a fee. They made three huge bids for the player, all of which were rejected. As a result, Mbappe will be able to negotiate with them starting in January and agree to join as a free agent in the summer.

The 22-year-old idolizes Zinedine Zidane and the legendary midfielder is also appreciative of Mbappe's talent. During his time at Madrid, he tried hard to sign the striker, but was unable to do so.

Zidane's desire to manage the France national team is no secret. But, Didier Deschamps is under contract until after the 2022 World Cup. So, it will be a while before he can replace

Due to their relationship, Mbappe might just end up staying at the French capital. But, an opportunity to finally move to Real Madrid might be too good to turn down for the striker.
