The Southeast Asian Esports Championship 2021 (SEA EC 2021) will be hosted virtually by the Vietnam Recreational E-sport Association (VIRESA) and VNG Corporation. This information was first revealed during an October 28th press conference.

SEA EC 2021 will be made up of three games: PUBG Mobile, League of Legends: Wild Rift, and VALORANT. The tournament will be broken up into two groups based on the gender of the participants. The prize pool is expected to be worth at least $140,000.

The event's qualifying round will take place in November and December. A total of 52 teams representing 10 regional esports organizations will take part in these rounds. The final round of the tournament is scheduled for January of 2022.
