Teofimo Lopez has slammed Josh Taylor and insists he has a 'different mindset' to the undisputed super-lightweight world champion.
Taylor was set to defend all four of his four world titles in an emotional homecoming against Jack Catterall on December 18.
Lopez is the WBA, WBC 'franchise', IBF and WBO lightweight world champion
It would have marked the homecoming of a lifetime after the Scot's spectacular performance against Jose Ramirez in May when he dropped the American twice in Las Vegas en route to a unanimous decision.
Instead, fans will have to wait until February for 'The Tartan Tornado' to return to the ring, something Lopez can sympathise with.
The 24-year-old has not fought since Ocotber 2020, when he beat Vasyl Lomachenko to become world lightweight champion.
The pair have clashed on multiple occasions in the ensuing 12 months, with Taylor insisting Lopez is not a certified undisputed world champion because Lomachenko had the 'franchise' WBC belt.

When the youngster appeared on stage next to Saul 'Canelo' Alvarez to parade his world titles, Taylor unleashed a torrent of abuse on social media.
He wrote: "That little rat Teofimo Lopez parading in on Canelo with his Mickey Mouse WBC.
"What a f****** brass neck. Embarrassing! The guy's so desperate it's unreal. There's only two undisputed champs with all the belts. FACT!"
Now, speaking with less than a week before his ring return to face George Kambosos Jr in New York, 'The Takeover' has fired back.
Lopez's right hand was a consistent deterrent that kept the Ukrainian at bay
"Man what does he know, what does he know? He don't know anything," Lopez told talkSPORT. "I tell you like this man, people are just mad. Big mad! If I got to say it man, I'll say it like this.
"They became undisputed after Teo become undisputed. They didn't make it before that.
"No one fought for the undisputed in 2020, no one did any of that right? But my fight was.
"He's saying I have unfinished business. I mean, these guys pretty much show out their hands every time – it is what it is.
"They're going to say what they going to say, but last time I checked, I was taking a picture with Canelo and he was taking a picture with Jake Paul – a YouTuber.
"Again, if we want to talk about mindsets, my mindset, your mindset, two different things."
