Koei Tecmo has announced a Monster Rancher Tournament to celebrate the series' 25th anniversary! The Monster Koushien World Battle tournament is the latest entry in the Monster Koushien tournament series, which first began in 1997.

The Tournament was announced by Kazumi Fujita, the Monster Rancher executive producer.

The upcoming tournament lets players who own Monster Rancher 1 & 2 DX across the world compete. Players will raise their monsters and upload their data to a special server, seeing whose monsters come out on top.

Monster Rancher 1 & 2 DX is a re-release of the original two monster hunter games with improved graphics, online gameplay elements, and fan-requested improvements.

Monster Rancher 1 & 2 DX will be available on the Nintendo Switch and PC via Steam on December 9th. You can pre-order it now.
