The North American tire manufacturer Hercules Tires recently unveiled a partnership with Team Liquid. As a result, the two organizations worked together to launch the Hercules Tires Invitational Series, which was a Rocket League tournament featuring teams from North America.
"Our partnership with Team Liquid will further the progress we are making to expand our brand in authentic and meaningful ways across new platforms," said the Senior VP of Hercules, Joshua Simpson. "It also showcases our commitment to engage new consumers – including a new generation that participate in gaming as a form of competition – and to build relationships through a digitally-focused platform."
The Hercules Tires Invitational Series was held on October 20th. 16 North American esports organizations participated in the event, including well-known brands like G2 Esports, Torrent, XSET, Charlotte Phoenix, and Oxygen Esports.
The series was live-streamed on Team Liquid's social media channels. The winning team received $12,000 in prize money.
