Chelsea's utterly dominant 4-0 win over Italian giants Juventus was described as 'Harlem Globetrotters football' as Thomas Tuchel's men breezed into the Champions League knockout stages.

Juventus barely knew what hit them as goals from Trevoh Chalobah, Reece James, Callum Hudson-Odoi and Timo Werner helped Chelsea leapfrog their opponents into the last 16.

Defender Reece James became Chelsea's top scorer with his fifth goal of the season

There was controversy around Chalobah's opener which appeared to hit Antonio Rudiger's arm on the way down from a corner, but there was no doubt about the finish that Chalobah thumped home, provoking an emotional celebration.

Juve could have easily been level when former £60million pound Chelsea signing Alvaro Morata lobbed Edouard Mendy, but the experience of Thiago Silva produced a spectacular goal-line clearance.

Juventus had plenty of hope only 1-0 down at the break, but that would be all for Max Allegri's troops who were played off the park in the second 45.

A wayward cross into Juve's box fell to James ten minutes after half time, and despite the acute angle, the full of confidence right-back superbly smashed an unstoppable strike home.

"[Wojciech] Szczesny, it's gone right past him and he doesn't even know it's there," said talkSPORT commentator Tony Cascarino.

And the compliments didn't stop there, with the former Blue describing Chelsea's play in the highest of terms.

Hudson-Odoi capped off a sublime move to put Chelsea in dreamland

"This is Harlem Globetrotters football!" said Cascarino when Hudson-Odoi made it 3-0.

Into stoppage time it was four when Werner tapped home a smart move, with Cascarino explaining exactly what the away team must have been feeling.

"As a player I had experiences where I came off the pitch and said to my teammates 'how good were they?' That's what the Juventus players are experiencing tonight," he said.
