SOUTHFIELD—The American Society of Mechanical Engineers Metro Detroit will present "Rosie the Riveter, Heroine of World War II: A Look at Women in Industry Through History and Today" on Wednesday, Oct. 27 from 4 to 5:30 p.m.

Attendees will learn about the instrumental role of women, Detroit, and the auto industry in winning World War II—and how the world never looked back, opening the door for women to join the workforce of the future.
Guest speaker will be Vivian Larsh, whose Rosie the Riveter mother inspired her to be a female pioneer in construction and trucking management.
