North Range Behavioral Health is searching for a property management agency to help manage day-to-day operations at their housing property Harmony Way, the company announced in a news release.

Due to the continued affordable housing crisis, North Range's Harmony Way Permanent Housing Project has helped those dealing with mental illness and experiencing homelessness transition into living in the community.

The project provides housing for 18 residents through a community called Harmony Way, which are 18 one-bedroom apartments, according to the news release.

North Range purchased the building in 2004. The length of each person's stay is determined by their needs, some have even been living on the property since the first year it was opened. On average, a resident stays between 2 and 5 years.

"Harmony Way is a unique program in Weld County," Sherry Meyer, North Range Behavioral Health's Program Director of Recovery Support Services, said in the release. "When clients have a safe place to call home, our staff can then integrate them into behavioral health services so they can make lasting change."

Staff at North Range support residents from the application and eligibility process to helping them in their long-term housing journey through things such as –– maintaining independence, understanding safety and security in long-term housing and continuing down a path to recovery.

"I am so proud of the stability Harmony Way provides for residents," Meyer said. "It provides an opportunity for individuals living with severe and persistent mental illness to see hope in their situation for the first time in years."

North Range believes through a new management partner, the staff will be able to provide better services to residents while maintaining healthy boundaries that support the therapeutic relationships, according to the release.

Organizations interested in managing the property can email Meyer at Sherry.Meyer@NorthRange.org for an application or download a request for proposal.

The deadline for application submissions is 11:59 p.m. Friday, Nov. 12.
