Neymar has hit back at critics fat-shaming him again and called for Brazil fans to respect him more.

The forward was criticised during his country's 1-0 win over Chile last week with many accusing him over looking overweight.

He was substituted for Lionel Messi midway through the second half of Paris Saint-Germain's last outing, a 2-0 win over Reims in August.

Spanish publication AS, per the Sun, labelled the 29-year-old 'out of shape' but Neymar has come back fighting.

He scored and provided an assist in Brazil's World Cup qualifying win over Chile on Thursday.

But the criticism continues to persist, including from commentators, who called him out for getting involved in scuffles.

The ex-Barcelona star said in response: "I don't know what more I need to do in this shirt for the fans to respect Neymar.

"This isn't normal. This has been happening for a long time, from you reporters, commentators, and others as well.

"Sometimes I don't even want to give interviews but I do my bit at important moments."

He also had a pop at fat-shamers when celebrating his goal against Peru, lifting his shirt to show his physique.
