EDITOR'S NOTE: The following is a summary of crime reports taken from the Greeley Police Department's daily logs. Only a few of the hundreds of reports will be used in this weekly column because of space limitations.

Sept. 12

12:30 a.m.: A caller near 13th Street and 8th Avenue reported high school kids who sprayed fire extinguishers.

2:30 a.m.: A man in the 800 block of 16th Street reported someone put scorpions in his backpack. He said they were, "All up in my shorts now."

3:15 a.m.: A man in the 1700 block of 5th Street said he called earlier about a party. He reported he heard the partygoers say they were going to scratch his truck. He also had footage of people peeing on his truck.

2 p.m.: A mother in Greeley reported finding a gun under her son's bed and said he didn't want to answer the questions she asked him.

5 p.m.: Someone in the Greeley Police Department lobby reported a Facebook page that sold exotic birds.

Sept. 14

1 a.m.: A caller near 9th Avenue and 9th Street reported a man holding what looked like a sword in one hand and a medium-sized gun in the other hand.

4:30 p.m.: A man in the 3500 block of 29th Street =believed a housekeeper at the hotel was using his personal hygiene items to clean the toilet parts.

6:15 p.m.: A caller in the 4600 block of 3rd Street reported a man who walked up and down the street, cussing at children and punching mailboxes.

11:30 p.m.: A parent in the 2400 block of 35th Avenue reported a teacher who brought up the COVID-19 vaccination and said the students should get vaccinated. The caller believed this was inappropriate.

Sept. 17

10:45 a.m.: A caller in Greeley reported a man was trying to hook up with the caller's sister and was searching for a sugar mama.

12:45 p.m.: A caller in the 1200 block of 29th Street Road asked for a sign that said, "If you eat a cat, you will go to jail."

3:15 p.m.: A caller in the 1400 block of 8th Avenue reported a man kept shooting a Nerf gun at the caller's face.

9:30 p.m.: A caller in the 1700 block 31st Street Road reported kids who played ding dong ditch in the area.

Sept. 20

1:15 a.m.: A man in the 700 block of 13th Street reported he was threatened with mace and a hammer behind a hotel.

11 a.m.: A woman in the 700 block of 21st Avenue Court reported three incidents. First, she said she got into an altercation involving a grocery cart that resulted in her breaking her arm. Second, a bus that she was riding on got into a crash, and she hurt her hips. Lastly, someone was speeding down the street, and she was thrown 6 feet trying to dodge the vehicle.

4:30 p.m.: A caller in Greeley reported an officer who was on-site threatened to cut a hole in the side of his van and steal his gas.

9:15 p.m.: A woman in the 3100 block of 23rd Avenue reported two men approached her and her friend to ask if they wanted to go to church.

10:30 p.m.: A caller in the 2700 block of 11th Avenue reported a man who carried a metal pole hitting things in the area.
