Everyone's favorite orange marsupial, Crash Bandicoot, is celebrating the 25th anniversary of his original game release, and the current series devs have released a video for the milestone.
The first Crash Bandicoot game was released in North America on September 9, 1996, for the PlayStation One. It told the story of Crash, an "uplifted" bandicoot, who sets out to stop the evil scientist Doctor Neo Cortex and save his girlfriend Tawny. The game would get several well-received sequels and side games, with Crash becoming one of the PlayStation One's most well-known mascots.
The series recently received a major retcon in the form of Crash Bandicoot 4: It's About time. While the eighth main entry in the series, it picks up directly after Crash Bandicoot 3: Warped.
Happy 25th anniversary, Crash! Here is to more wild and radical adventures for you and your friends!
Crash Bandicoot 4: It's About Time is available for the Nintendo Switch, PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X/S, and PC.
