Packers Initial 53-Man Roster
Tuesday, August 31st at 4:00 pm Eastern, was the deadline for NFL teams to make their final cuts. Below are all the players who made it on the Packers Initial 53-Man Roster.
Offense
Quarterback
Aaron Rodgers - Jordan Love
Running Back
Aaron Jones - A.J. Dillon - Kylin Hill
Wide Receiver
Davante Adams - Marquez Valdes-Scantling - Randall Cobb - Allen Lazard - Amari Rodgers - Malik Taylor
Tight End
Marcedes Lewis - Robert Tonyan - Josiah Deguara - Dominique Dafney - Jace Sternberger
Jace Sternberger is serving a 2-game suspension to start the season. This allowed the Packers to keep five tight ends for now. Once Sternberger's suspension is up, Green Bay may need to make a decision about the position.
Offensive Line
David Bakhtiari - Elgton Jenkins - Josh Myers - Billy Turner - Dennis Kelly
Jake Hanson - Royce Newman - Yosuah Nijman - Lucas Patrick - Jon Runyan
All-Pro left tackle David Bakhtiari will begin the season on the PUP list (Physically Unable to Perform) as he continues to recover from a torn ACL. That means one of Royce Newman, Lucas Patrick or Jon Runyan will likely be starting at offensive guard for at least six weeks of the season.
