The National Weather Service on Thursday issued a tornado warning for southwestern Weld and northwestern Adams counties.

The warning is until 3:30 p.m. A severe thunderstorm was located over Todd Creek, 16 miles north of Denver, at 3:04 p.m., according to the National Weather Service. Radar indicated rotation in the storm, which is capable of producing a tornado as it moves east at 20 mph.

A severe thunderstorm watch was issued for the Greeley area until 8 p.m., with a possible thunderstorm after 4 p.m., according to the National Weather Service. Some of the storms could be severe. Chance of precipitation is about 60%.

The inclement weather delayed the University of Northern Colorado Convocation until 5:15 p.m., as well as Taste of UNC until 6 p.m., according to a tweet from the university's Twitter page.
