Northern Colorado season ticket holders will have the luxury of using mobile tickets starting this fall, expanding the university's digital ticketing process.

UNC will provide season ticket holders with mobile tickets, delivered through an email, that they can print at home or show on their mobile devices when entering the facilities.

Mobile ticketing provides a safer and faster delivery process, reducing the likelihood of ticket fraud and loss, UNC said in the announcement. Mobile ticketing, which is already used at many venues across the country, and through single-game sales, allows for contactless entry at events.

"We are excited to move into the mobile ticketing world," UNC Athletic Director Darren Dunn said in a statement. "This will be new for our fans but mobile tickets are becoming the standard for our industry at the collegiate level, and we want to ensure fans have the best possible game day experience."

The ticketing process will be used for football, basketball, volleyball and wrestling events.

Season ticket holders can request paper tickets through the UNC box office, but mobile ticketing will be the default. Single-game purchasers can also receive paper tickets on event day, in advance at the box office or by selecting the "mail" delivery method.

Fans should direct all questions to the UNC Ticket Office at (970) 351-4849.
