Greeley police officers are investigating a shooting between a large group of unknown people, possibly gang members, that broke out Sunday at a family party in Greeley.
Police officers responded to a report of shots fired and a possible shooting victim at 2:06 a.m. in the 400 block of 16th Street.
On the scene, officers discovered shell casings in the roadway of east 16th Street. Police contacted the occupants of a possibly related home.
The investigation revealed a big group of unknown people showed up to a family party happening at the home, according to police. An argument started between the unknown people and two separate groups began shooting at each other.
Police reported the people who showed up at the party could possibly be gang members.
One vehicle was impacted by a bullet, but police saw no signs of anyone shot, according to Greeley police. Hospitals in the area were notified about the incident by officers.
Officers collected several shell casings in the area and processed the scene with detectives.
