Like its bigger brother, the GV80, Genesis GV70 takes cues from other Genesis cars, from a cutting edge cabin, to futuristic technology. The engines and drivelines are the same as other Genesis models, with a 2.5 and 3.5 petrol turbo, and a 2.2L diesel. Only the base model 2.5 is FWD, with all the rest driving all 4 wheels. The 3.5 AWD even gets fancy predictive suspension.

All models have an 8-speed automatic.

We've loved the Genesis range to the luxurious drive experience and extensive range of inclusions which we think is great value for the price.

Only the diesel Genesis GV70 has a puncture repair kit, with all other getting a space saver spare.

The exterior is just gorgeous with double-layer lights that have received plenty of attention wnever we've been out and about.

The cabin is draped in leather, upgraded to nappa in some trim levels. The lane keep assist will recognise road edges not marked by lines, and can even park itself without a driver on board.

But it is the design of the interior which we think is delicious. Seats are quilted, and have 12-way powered adjustment for the front seats. The centre console has a glorious gear dial that rises once the ignition is on. And the trim that looks like metal, probably is, with aluminium highlights throughout.

Cargo space is 542L, which expands to 1678L once the seats are laid down.

Prices range from $66,400 to $83,276.You can add even more to you Genesis GV70 by loading it up with packages, depending on trim level. Sports Line is $4,500 and Luxury is $11,000. If you get both, the total is $13,000, but if you've scored the 3 grand range topper, you can have it all for another $6,000, bring its price to near $90,000.
