On June 10th, esports organization Atlanta FaZe unveiled a partnership with UMG Gaming, a wholly-owned subsidiary of Engine Media Holdings. The organizations will work together to host a series of Call of Duty tournaments.

The first event, a $25K Call of Duty: Warzone tournament series, began on June 19th with a first-round qualifier. The championships for this series are scheduled to take place on June 25th.

"Atlanta FaZe is such a preeminent organization and we are excited to partner with them on this two-part Warzone tournament," said Eric Vaughn, the Head of UMG Gaming. "Both UMG and Atlanta FaZe share a common mission: create opportunities that serve the needs of community players, pro athletes, and influencers, brands and publisher partners."

Another tournament is scheduled to take place later this year. The second tournament will be formally announced during the third quarter of the 2021 fiscal year.
