The competition is fast, aggressive, sweaty and cut throat, with various Asian teams vying for the Olympic Gold Medal. Usually it is teams like #TeamChina who cleans sweeps the majority of the top medals, but other nations are catching up fast.
#TeamTaiwan have been so awesome at the badminton and the men's doubles team have recently picked up their first Olympic Gold Medal ever, and it was such a great moment in badminton history. Lee Yang and Wang Chi-Lin won the badminton men's doubles Olympic gold medal on Saturday by beating China's Li Junhui and Liu Yuchen 21-18 21-12 at the Tokyo Games (via Reuters).
When they were awarded with their Olympic Gold Medals, the Taiwanese national anthem was playing and the Taiwanese flag was raised. (via Taiwan News). At the Olympics Taiwan is known as "Chinese Taipei".
