A 36-year-old man faces multiple charges after the Weld County Drug Task Force engaged in undercover purchases, recording evidence of him selling meth on multiple occasions, according to arrest records.

On June 29, the drug task force conducted a controlled narcotics transaction with a suspected drug dealer named Jose Luis Herrera-Delores, records state.

The transaction was planned over the phone between Herrera-Delores and an undercover investigator. They arranged to meet at the Greeley Mall. Herrera-Delores was under surveillance before and during the arrangement.

He was seen getting into his vehicle and leaving his residence about 5:46 p.m., the same time the undercover investigator arrived at the location, according to arrest records  At 5:55 p.m., Herrera-Delores arrived.

Herrera-Delores was seen exiting his vehicle and getting into the passenger side of the undercover vehicle. The investigator was able to identify him based on pictures and previous encounters with him.

While they were in the vehicle, Herrera-Delores gave the undercover investigator 56.7 grams of meth in exchange for $800, which was provided from the task force funds.

Arrest records said the meth was tested by the Greeley Police Department and it came back positive as meth.

The conversation between the two inside the vehicle was recorded and has been booked into evidence.

On July 7, another transaction was scheduled with Herrera-Delores. The investigator requested, over the phone, the order of 4 ounces of meth from him. They planned to meet at 3103 S. 23rd St., according to reports.

The drug task force once again surveilled him leave his residence and enter into the same vehicle as the last transaction. At 6:35 p.m., his truck pulled into the parking lot. Records state he was identified as he exited his truck and entered the undercover officer's vehicle.

Herrera-Delores provided the investigator with four ounces of meth, which was later tested positive by the Greeley Police Department. The said the total weight of the meth was 113.8 grams, according to arrest records.

The video and audio recordings from the July 7 incident were also submitted to evidence.

On July 16, a warrant was issued for Herrera-Delores's arrest and he was booked into Weld County Jail. His bond was set to $25,000.

Herrera-Delores faces unlawful distribution, manufacturing, dispensing or sale charges. He has an advisement hearing 9 a.m. Sept. 23 in Weld District Court.
