If you are looking for a unique and fun way to sample and learn about products offered through Weld County's agricultural industry, then the 8th annual AgriCULTURE Feast is right up your alley.

The event, which is set for 5:30 p.m. Thursday, Aug. 26 at the Centennial Village Museum, 1475 A, St., showcases Greeley and Weld County's agricultural and artistic heritage with an evening of food and drinks under the stars.

The event features food and drinks provided by local restaurants, breweries and distilleries, a tour of the museum grounds, a silent auction, and live entertainment and demonstrations.

"Guests can enjoy drinks and appetizers as they wander through the beautiful gardens and museum buildings, check out demonstrations by creatives as well as the door prizes," explained Becky Safarik, an organizer of the event. "When the dinner bell rings, they will dine al fresco as our servers deliver a wonderful multi-course meal prepared by our local chefs.  Lovely entertainment continues with our wandering musicians throughout the meal."

All of the food featured at the event will be prepared from locally sourced ingredients with videos detailing the history of local producers.

Pellegrini's, Luna's Tacos and Tequila, Gourmet Grub, La Petite French Bakery and chefs from Banner Health will all be making amazing appetizers and main dishes for this year's event.

A new feature to this year's event is the addition of a gift bag filled with food themed/inspired goodies. The event will be giving away various door prizes, including two fruit trees donated by Eaton Grove Nursery. Attendees will also have the opportunity to purchase a customized barn quilt highlighting the area's local agricultural history.

"We also expect this to be the event in which the book, 'Bears in the Backyard, The Story of Greeley's University District,' will debut and be available for sale," Safarik said. "Several of the team of authors will be on hand to sign the book if interested, as well as notables mentioned in the book. The Greeley Creative District is the publisher of the book and will be managing its distribution."

Money raised from the event will benefit the Greeley Creative District, a nonprofit that supports the arts and creative industries within Greeley.

"We are eager to see everyone in person again and enjoy this casual evening of outdoor dining and entertainment in one of Greeley's exceptional and unique public venues while enjoying locally produced foods crafted into a delicious meal," Safarik added.
