Khabib Nurmagomedov met up with boxing legend Mike Tyson to record an episode of Tyson's Hotboxin Podcast on Friday.

The UFC sensation, who retired at the top of MMA last year, appeared delighted to have the opportunity to sit down with the former undisputed heavyweight champion.

Former two-weight UFC champion Henry Cejudo co-hosts the podcast with Tyson and posted a video showing the three of them together.

An overwhelmed Khabib then posted images with the caption: "Somehow I will comment on my today's emotions, but not now.

"For now I will share pictures.

"It was good to see you legend - Mike Tyson."

The podcast has not been released yet, but it will be interesting to see if it features any discussion of recent words from Conor McGregor.

The bitter rivalry between the two men descended to new levels of ugliness when the Irishman this week appeared to mock the Russian about the death of Abdulmanap Nurmagomedov.

Khabib tweeted in the aftermath of Dustin Poirier's victory against McGregor at UFC 264, saying 'Good always defeats evil' as the Irishman continually attacked Poirier and his wife, Jolie.

McGregor then said in a since-deleted post, 'Covid is good and father is evil?'
